The Bale Mountains offer one of Africa's great wilderness treks — vast open moorland at 3,000–4,300 metres, free of crowds and full of rare wildlife.
This six-day route crosses the Sanetti Plateau, descends into the Harenna forest, and camps beneath skies few travellers ever see.
